Parents Association

While parents have always been tremendously supportive of the school down through the years, it wasn't until 4th January 1977 that the parents were organised into an association by the then principal, Mr. Jim McGinley.

What started out as a Parents' Sports and Social Comittee has now evolved into a thriving and industrious Parents' Association, affiliated to the National Parents' Council.

The founding members of the Parents' Sports and Social Committee in 1977 were :

Down the years, the school has been blessed with both the quantity and quality of effort engaged in by members of the Parents' Association. Tens of thousands of pounds have been raised in various activities. Lectures have been organised for parents in topical educational issues, graduation ceremonies have been put in place for 6th class pupils, seminars for pupils have been financed and, much more important than all these, has been the tremendous support and good will shown to the school.
