Past Principals Reflect

It brings back many happy (and sometimes sad) memories of my year (1973-1974) as Principal of St. David's. Having worked as Principal of an Orphanage in Galway for the previous six years, the prospect of the appointment to take charge of such a large school seemed daunting. But through sense of vocation, I accepted.

I discovered my fears were unfounded on account of the friendliness, courtesy and dedication of the staff. I also felt that I was blessed in having the benefit of the wisdom and co-operation of an excellent gentlemanly Vice Principal, Mr. Jim McGinley.

My earnest wish is for St. David's to continue its proud tradition for the next 25 years.
