The present level of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure in the school is as follows: v A range of Pentium multimedia computers (Gateway, Dell, Fujitsu and
RM) Each class in the school is rostered for approx. one hour per week in the computer room and teachers use their classroom computer to integrate ICT into the school curriculum. With regard to internet safety, the school implements the guidelines outlined in NCTE's document (Acceptable Use Policy Guidelines for Irish Primary Schools). www.ncte.ie/support_qui.htm It is the intention of the staff that the school will be at the leading
edge of technological development in the provision of ICT infrastructure
- a target for the future is the acquisition of a CD Server and a projector.
The resource and remedial teachers in the school make particular use of
ICT because of the requirements of special needs pupils. |
